On the Knife's edge between life and death.

Sakura grit her teeth as she slammed into the snowcovered ground of her own inner world facing off againt not only Zakura Kadoguchi but her inner hollow as well both coming at her from different angles both attacking her with everything they had, and she fought back with everything she had. Knowing that if she let up if even a moment she would die. It was that knifes edge between life and death that pushed her further pushed her harder. Sakura would not die, not at the hands of her own Zanpakuto and certainly not at the hands of her inner hollow.

Power flew in her own mind, The exchange was brutal and painful even as the blade in her hand glowed with a soft ethral light and clashed with Zakura's blade she had a feeling deep in her heart that she still had not drawn out Excaliber's power but that would come in time, right now she needed to learn how to handle the intense heavy and oppressive weight that came with the blade. The weight of the responsiblities that being the blades partner meant. Everything that came with it and more.

It was all a little much and yet she would not give up too stubborn to give up for anyone not even herself she would keep fighting but because she wanted to win, but because she HAD to. Had to for the sake of those around her, for those who could not fight for themselves and those that could, those that needed her to protect them. Those who even though she didn't know there faces would die if she didn't fight. And for Ryo...so that the prophecy around him would never be forfilled so that he would never bear the pain of such a terrible burden. So that he could live happy and not fear that he would one day bring about the end of everything.

Sakura didn't believe that nothing could be changed that things were set in stone because even if someone did place something within stone, a stone with enough force could be broken there was nothing that could not be changed and this was no exception. She would do what she needed to do to protect others.

Even as the battle reflected on her outer world as well as inner. The fight had progressed to such a point that her body began reflecting the damage her mind was taking under the assult and yet she didn't stop and wouldn't not yet. She could keep pushing herself and she would even as blood began to well slowly down the side of her face from a particular nasty cut thanks to one of Zakura Kadoguchi's tessen, of course it had been her inner hollow that had cut her but that was spiltting hairs.

Ryo watched as her eyes batted back and forth within their sockets it was as if she was reaching her limit at unbeleivable speeds.... She still hasnt figured out the true use of the mighty blade she weilded.... She needed to realize Excalibers powers resided within the heart of its user what their goals were.....

She had not met her goal with the blade which meant that she was fighting for the wrong reason or atleast she had it in her head that she was fighting for something that she thought was true but actually isnt.... "There is but only one true reason we fight..... we fight to kill and to survive nothing more the sooner you realize that the sooner Excalibers true powers will reveal themselves.... my love....." He watched her and as he finished his work he kissed her forehead and sent her a surge of his power to help her in her battle... He held her in his lap for awhile awaiting her to awaken...

Sakura slowly opened her eyes after a bit and looked up at him groaning. "Ouch." She mummbled feeling stiff soar and acky all over she sighed as she looked up at the ceiling taking comfort in Ryo's embrace. The sword was responding to her but she was having a heck of a time handling it's weight.

Zakura semed certain that she would have the answer soon and that Excaliber was patient because they had just found each other and needed to meet at a middle point and what the middle point was she wasn't sure. But would be when she found it. It all just sounded confusing to her at the moment.
